In 1965, photographer Jerry Schatzberg listened to Bob Dylan for the first time; already well established in fashion and portrait photography having been published in Vogue, Esquire and Life he asked through friends of friends to shoot with Dylan after being intrigued by his music and personality. Widely recognised as the foremost body of work with Bob Dylan, taken at the pinnacle of his career, Schatzberg's images not only stand the test of time but have become visually synonymous with one of the most iconic artists of the twentieth century, having featured as the cover and liner images of acclaimed 1966 album Blonde On Blonde.

This book contains seminal interviews, including A Night with Bob Dylan by Al Aronowits, originally published in the New York Herald Tribune in 1965, and original texts from Schatzberg and Jonathan Lethem; a comprehensive monograph containing classic as well as never before seen images, perfect for music and photography fans alike.
